  • While posted for the Somerset location, this position can also be considered within other available locations & offices within Somerset Trust Company.
The employee would need to travel to Somerset for training and meetings as needed. Summary This position is responsible for supervising the Quality Assurance team of Somerset Trust Company. This position is expected to work efficiently and timely to review New Accounts, New IRA Accounts and coding, New Persons, Account Maintenances reports, and Minor changes for accuracy. This role also entails clear communication and positive collaboration within the QA team, the Operations Officer, Compliance area, and other departments within the bank. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure all deposit accounts including IRA's are accurately added in Core.
  • Review of IRA set up and documents.
  • Verify all new customer information is set up correctly and necessary documents have been submitted for New Org, Person and Account.
  • Ensure customers are in the correct product.
  • Support frontline staff and branch administration with account opening and changes to accounts.
  • Verify changes to rates have been approved by the Accounting Staff and adds the approval to Spreadsheet.
  • Collaborate with other QA team members to improve accuracy and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies
  • Assist in providing reports and information for all requests related to audits, compliance reviews, and examinations
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the New Account Matrix and CIP Requirements
  • Communicate with necessary areas of the bank such as Compliance, Internal Audit, Branch Administration as necessary to ensure department adherence to all internal policies and procedures as well as to all applicable State and Federal Banking Regulations
  • Understand and support all BSA/AML responsibilities as applicable to the position as well as consistently, accurately, and timely carry out these responsibilities in compliance with the Bank's internal policies
  • Perform other related work and duties as assigned Education and/or Experience
  • Prior retail branch experience involving opening new retail deposit accounts required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Some college background strongly preferred, but not required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Proficient with DNA and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Must be willing to learn new systems and adapt to emerging technologies
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to analyze reports and communicate the results to others
  • Ability to read interpret documents such as procedure manuals and release notes
  • Ability to write business correspondence, and policies using proper grammar and accurate spelling
REASONING ABILITY
  • Effective problem-solving skills that utilize both quantitative and qualitative information along with intuition
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Organizational, priority setting, and decision-making skills are also required
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands and fingers to operate office equipment, telephones, etc. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
