Job Description

Experience/Education Required:
Minimum High School graduate or equivalent Previous work experience in a precast concrete plant Ability to read and understand construction drawings and reinforcing details Ability to use and understand basic inspection/measuring tools (tape measure, level, square, etc.) Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, etc.) Good interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work overtime and/or shift work as needed. Willingness to obtain or maintain certifications (NPCA, ACI, etc.) as needed. Preferred, but not required: A current ACI Field Testing Technician, Grade 1
Certification Brief Description of Responsibilities:
Perform inspection of concrete forms prior to casting, including but not limited to placement, size, and spacing of reinforcing, locations of openings and cast in items, and proper form and joint dimensions. Perform inspection of concrete products following casting, to include overall piece dimensions, locations of cast in items and openings, and proper joint dimensions. Document product defects to the QC Manager and/or Engineering as necessary, providing sketches and photographs when needed. Perform final inspection of products set to ship to job site and coordinate any necessary repairs with Yard Supervisor(s). Perform plastic testing as needed Work with third-party agency inspectors (PennDOT, for example) to ensure that product quality is maintained and any applicable additional standards and specifications are met. Other duties as assigned by QC Manager.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
