Company Overview:
Grouse Hunt Farms, Inc. ("GHF" or the "Company") was founded in 1948 and is a specialty food manufacturer located in Tamaqua, PA. The Company specializes in jarred goods and offers a combination of private label, co-packing and proprietary branded products (such as the Wos-Wit brand). GHF has grown significantly in recent years and we are looking for talented individuals to join our team as we continue on our accelerated growth trajectory.
Job Description:
GHF is seeking a full-time QA Lead to direct the Company's quality assurance program. This position will assume a variety of responsibilities to ensure the Company's products meet the necessary safety and quality standards before, during and after production. The job will require physical stamina, including regular standing, walking and bending, and the ability to work in various temperature conditions as the role will be a combination of office work and being out on the production floor. _________________________________________________________________________________ Lead daily production inspections and critical process checks
  • Maintain standard QA SOP's
  • Perform food safety and product quality checks (e.g. pH, salinity, brix)
  • General food production process checks throughout the day (e.g. temperature, lid seal)
  • Inspect products and packaging for correct specifications prior to shipping Manage the Company's SQF (Safe Quality Food) program and lead annual audit Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)'s) are being followed Maintain various spec sheets, audit requests and other quality checks Regular and reliable attendance required Oversee a team of 1-2 people Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor _________________________________________________________________________________ 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off _________________________________________________________________________________ 8-hour shift (OT as needed) Monday to Friday (Weekends as needed) _________________________________________________________________________________ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Prior quality experience, especially in food, is preferred Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
