Quality Inspector The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing First Piece , In Process , and Final Inspection of precision machined components, while accurately completing all required quality documentation in aISO9001/AS9100
certified environment. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections according to documented procedures and inspection plans Record inspection results clearly, accurately, and legibly Conduct mechanical measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and CMM equipment Verify that inspection equipment, tools, and machinery are properly calibrated per company policy Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and inspection criteria Prepare and complete all inspection documentation, including First Article Inspection (FAI) reports Collaborate with Production and Management teams to ensure timely communication of quality issues, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement Identify, segregate, report and communicate non conforming product Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area Required Qualifications Experience inspecting machined parts using standard precision measuring tools, 3-5 years of experience preferred Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and CMMs. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards; familiarity with AS9102 requirements preferred Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, team oriented environment Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for several hours per day PC DMIS experience is a plus What We Offer Competitive wages based on experience; $20-$27/hour Company paid medical and life insurance for individuals Retirement plan with employer matched contributions Modern, clean, well equipped, air conditioned facility Company Description EMP is dedicated to quality workmanship and to the excellent service of our customers.
