Description Location:
Falconer, NY Responsible for the corrective action process, internal audit process and document control process.
Duties:
Maintain and revise QMS (Quality Management System) procedures and work instructions as necessary to comply with
ISO 9001
2015 and AS9100D Standards. Facilitate review and disposition of updates to QMS procedures and work instructions. Train process owners of QMS procedures and work instructions on proper content and level of detail in each type to ensure consistency across QMS. Create, coordinate and facilitate all internally issued corrective actions with assignees. Assist manufacturing, quality and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions. Verify completed corrective actions are effective in preventing the reoccurrence of original problem and root causes. Track status and issue monthly metrics for internal and external auditors. Other duties as assigned or required within Quality function to meet customer or business needs.
Skills/ Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing company with ISO9001:2015 and AS9100D accreditation. Experienced user of BPA or other Quality software that manages document control, non-conformance reports and corrective action reports. Experience performing root cause analysis using 5-why, 8D problem solving or Fishbone Diagram methods. Experience with QMS audits performed by customers and external auditors. Experience with QMS internal audits. Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Action oriented and resilient staying composed and focused under stress. Comfortable with ambiguity and change. Quality oriented and high attention to detail.
