Job Description
About CAMCO Manufacturing CAMCO Manufacturing, Inc. is an AS9100-certified precision CNC machine shop in Sayre, Pennsylvania — the largest machine shop in Bradford County, with over 70 employees, 30+ CNC lathes, 20+ CNC mills, and a wide variety of grinders, gear shapers, hobs, and CNC Coordinate Measuring Machines. The close-tolerance components we manufacture are used in the aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial sectors — on satellites, targeting systems, thermal weapon sights, medical devices, and more. We are large enough that your work matters and small enough that your work is seen. About the Role We are hiring a CAD Draftsman / CMM Programmer to strengthen our inspection team. You will design CAD models of inspection fixtures, program and run our Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), and help us continually improve how CAMCO inspects close-tolerance parts. It is a detail-driven role for someone comfortable moving between SolidWorks and PC-DMIS who takes pride in getting the measurement exactly right. This is a hybrid position based out of our Sayre, PA facility. What You'll Do
- Design and model inspection fixtures in SolidWorks to be 3D-printed and used on the CMM
- Write and run CMM programs (PC-DMIS) to inspect machined components against the print
- Support remote CMM operation when needed, including running a machine via remote connection and live camera feed
- Read blueprints and GD&T and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools
- Maintain inspection records and recurring reports (Excel)
- Help improve CAMCO's overall CMM inspection process — faster programs, better fixturing, cleaner data Required Qualifications
- Hands-on SolidWorks CAD design experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Comfort with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) and basic shop math
- Strong attention to detail and the discipline to follow an inspection process exactly
- Ability to work with a team to meet manufacturing deadlines
- U.S. Citizen (required for ITAR-controlled defense work) Preferred Qualifications
