Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our community through a commitment to excellence in mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery services coordinated through a person-centered network of community supports. The ADAMHS Board is seeking a Quality Improvement Officer to support system-wide quality improvement, performance monitoring, and learning across Board-funded services. This role translates data, evaluation findings, and technical assistance insights into practical guidance, tools and supports for providers and internal teams. The position operates within an improvement-focused context and works closely with Compliance and Evaluation staff. This role is devoted to ensuring that the behavioral health provider network of agencies is compliant to their contract requirements and standards, operating with high quality in both business operations and service delivery, and that the network is constantly improving to meet emerging trends and community needs. Key Responsibilities Translate operational and outcome data into actionable quality improvement guidance for providers and Board staff. Support providers in understanding and applying integrated reporting and outcomes frameworks and accessing trainings. Develop and maintain practical tools such as job aids, workflows, checklists, and guidance documents. Participate in technical assistance and compliance site visits when appropriate; assist in synthesizing site visit themes and quality improvement opportunities. Provide coaching and guidance related to service delivery processes, documentation alignment, and performance improvement for both the Board and its providers. Monitor and keep staff and providers informed of changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards that may impact the organization's operations. Apply critical thinking skills to make recommendations to address operational challenges and to address social challenges and promote positive change. Collaborate with cross-discipline teams both inside and outside the Board to define metrics, reporting requirements, and information collection processes that ensure accuracy, completeness and reliability of data, and to ensure compliance with the Board's standards. Develop and present reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations, with an ability to simply and accurately express complex topics visually and in writing; collect, analyze and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Board. Conduct independent client satisfaction surveys, focus groups, interviews or other measures using standardized Board protocols. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in quality improvement, data, and regulatory compliance, and make recommendations for process and policy improvements. Document internal processes in the form of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Manage projects, including designing approaches and indicators of success, and directing or supporting other team members when necessary. Respond to requests for data from various stakeholders. Performs other duties or special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or Informatics, Legal Studies, Data Analytics, Business Technology / Intelligence, or related field. Master's degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in quality improvement, data analysis, or regulatory management. Experience securing CARF, Council on Accreditation (COA) or Joint Commission accreditation. Experience supporting quality improvement or performance monitoring in health, behavioral health, or human services settings. Ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Physical Demands Traditional office position which may require ability to use and operate office equipment and machines such as computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, adding machine and other equipment required to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.
