Spartanburg SCHEDL Automotive is currently seeking Quality Technician. This is a full-time direct hire position. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily tire and wheel mounting and demounting, ensuring proper assembly techniques and safety protocols are followed (approximately 60% of the job). Conduct customer product return analysis with minimal oversight, including physically handling and booking products into the system. Physically move acceptable material back into inventory. Assist in identifying and resolving production quality issues by containing and sorting parts to meet quality requirements. Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues or defects, collaborating with production and logistics teams to implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Monitor quality, diagnose the root cause of problems, and help implement corrective actions and countermeasures. Analyze and interpret production data independently using ERP System. Conduct product trials. Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment. 1+ years of forklift experience. Familiarity with automotive industry standards and practices is a plus. Strong understanding of quality management systems and processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data management and reporting. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to work any shift as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift and sort 60-80 lbs. Must be able to stand and move continuously during working hours.
