This role provides Quality support within the facility. The Quality Tech is responsible for handling our inspection of raw material. Basic math skills and the ability to accurately record measurements and inspection results. Familiarity with quality standards, inspection procedures, and manufacturing documentation preferred. Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and production record maintenance. Experience Requirements Quality experience. Lab technician experience is a plus. Experience inspecting raw materials and finished products for quality compliance. Ability to perform measurements and verify product specifications. Experience documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate quality records. Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with production and leadership teams. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of quality assurance processes and manufacturing quality standards. Experience evaluating non-conforming products, customer returns, and corrective actions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to identify quality concerns and communicate findings effectively. Experience supporting product startups, line verification, and production quality initiatives. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the production area during inspections. Ability to handle and inspect raw materials and finished products. Strong visual acuity for identifying defects and verifying specifications. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards. Able to lift 50 lbs. + steel-toe shoes. Job Duties Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with quality requirements and specifications. Monitor production measurements, including width, thickness, and product performance characteristics, and record results accurately. Verify production line specifications daily and maintain required documentation. Support new product startups and line verification activities to ensure acceptable product quality. Evaluate products placed on hold and assist in determining disposition. Review, sort, and inspect customer returns and complaint-related materials. Communicate quality concerns and inspection findings with Lead Operators, Supervisors, and Production Management. Maintain accurate production and quality records in accordance with company procedures. Keep the quality lab and inspection areas clean, organized, and audit-ready. Support continuous improvement efforts and perform additional quality-related duties as assigned. What You Will Do As a Quality Technician you will inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications. You will use precision measuring equipment, document inspection results, identify nonconforming materials, support corrective actions, and help maintain quality records while promoting safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Check line specs to ensure they are acceptable no less than once per day, record on production log sheet. This includes width, thickness, and break.
  • Monitor production measurements to ensure acceptable product
  • Assist with ensuring new product startups (line verification) are acceptable
  • Assist in evaluating complaint's (returns) when needed
  • Assist with reviewing product placed on hold to determine disposition
  • Sort and re-check customer returns
  • Communication with Lead Operators, Foreman and Production Manager
  • Comply with any responsibilities requested by Management
