Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Your expertise will support the continuous improvement of our quality systems, uphold compliance with industry standards, and guarantee that our manufacturing processes produce reliable, safe, and high-quality products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

o Report any/all food safety or food quality issues immediately to supervision o Perform related duties as assigned by quality supervisor or other leadership o Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures o Able to lift 50 to 70 lbs. Able to work extended hours, available for overtime and weekend work as required. Conduct audit of production in process and of the finished product to ensure compliance with all product specifications, customer requirements and regulatory regulations. o Conduct pre-operational inspection of production area after sanitation to ensure adequate cleaning of production line and production area. o Conduct timely audits of production process and finished products as stated in the QA SOP's. Ensure process and finished products are in compliance with all product specifications and regulatory compliance o Verify correct lot numbers are being used at the mixing stations and compare with Plex entries. o Responsible for retaining shift samples and evaluating. o Collect micro samples of product as required o Conduct equipment calibrations as indicated in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as required when the need arises due to broken or damaged equipment. o Effectively communicate any operational issues to production supervision and to QA Supervisor for corrective action. o Effectively communicate any food safety and food quality issues or operational issues to the QA Supervisor and/or a member of management to initiate immediate corrections. o Review and correction of daily shift documentation from QA and production. o Pulling retains for review when necessary due to a customer complaint. o Making copies of check sheets and other documents as needed. o Ensuring that product is placed on HOLD status in Plex when necessary. o Must follow all plant Good Manufacturing Policies (GMP's), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's) and Safety rules o Miscellaneous duties as assigned o Properly utilize labor resources to improve efficiency, minimize labor expense and reduce waste o Notify production lead of any waste issues and/or machine malfunctions o Able to work extended hours, available for overtime and weekend work as required. o Drive Company's goals & objectives through continuous improvement activities. o Meet or Exceed the Food Safety and Quality Standards of the Company o We recognize that supplying 100% quality products from aspect, taste, nutrition, microbiology and overall safety is a fundamental aspect of the satisfaction of our customers and consumers. o As a team member, you have the responsibility to address any known food safety or quality issue. o Report any and all food safety or food quality issues to QA and Shift Supervision. o Implement actions needed to prevent food safety and food quality issues o Meet or exceed expectations of strict adherence to Quality Standards o Coordinate with QA to ensure company quality SOP's are adhered to. o Demonstrate behaviors of a quality conscious culture. o Ensure training is completed for your role and the roles of all team members in relationships to process and quality. o Ensure customer specifications are being met through evaluation and immediate reaction o Develop a culture of quality within the scope of their role. o Monitor and ensure that all GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP are met at all times o Ensure production floor is SQF ready
EVERYDAY
o Follow all safety and OSHA policies and report any issues or violations immediately to a supervisor. o Safety is first within our organization. Quality is the second most important aspect of your role. o Prevent cross-contamination by following all policies and procedures.

Work Experience Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work weekends when needed
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • This position is responsible for ensuring that food safety is not compromised while meeting the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing and are responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and all other food safety requirements
  • Complies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's) requirements
  • Reports any food safety problems or potentially unsafe practices/conditions to lead or supervisor
  • Constant walking and standing on hard concrete service
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, lifting and climbing
  • Position will require working in very hot and cold conditions
  • Other conditions include flour dust, wet floors, occasional smoke and fumes if product burns
Pay:
$17.00
  • $19.
00 per hour
