Job Description

Overview We are seeking a experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in ensuring the highest standards of quality control and assurance in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precise measurements and inspections of components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. This role requires a strong history of quality inspection techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Duties Operate CMM equipment to conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts. Responsible for CMM programming - from basic programming to expert level programming. Correlates CMM inspection data with hand inspection tools and/or plate inspections including micrometers, indicators, height gages, etc. Maintains conformance to
IATF 16949
quality management standards. Verify respective lab procedures and documentation are accurate. Initiate revisions to procedures as appropriate. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and GD&T techniques for accurate measurements. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and schematics to ensure specifications are met. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of measurements and findings. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to injection molding processes and tooling. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality assurance practices. Qualifications Engineering Degree or 5+ years of CMM Programming experience in the Plastics Industry Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and practices. Understanding of dimensional inspection techniques and quality assurance principles. Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to measurement tasks. Experience in reading technical documents including blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings.
