Job Description

1st shift: 6:45 a.m.
  • 6:45 p.m. 1st shift is Monday
  • Saturday with Sunday as Needed 2nd shift: 6:45 p.m.
  • 6:45 a.m. 2nd shift is Sunday-Friday with Saturday as Needed All lead positions will need to come in 30 minutes early and stay 30 minutes late to start and end the shift. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Team Lead
  • Quality Inspection to oversee our quality assurance operations within a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the quality inspection team, ensuring products meet stringent quality standards, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in safeguarding product integrity, optimizing inspection processes, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in measurement instruments, quality systems, and manufacturing standards, driving excellence across all facets of quality assurance. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the quality inspection team to ensure adherence to established quality standards and procedures. Develop, implement, and monitor inspection protocols utilizing precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, and vision inspection systems. Conduct comprehensive quality audits in accordance with
ISO 9001, ISO
13485, GMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations to verify compliance throughout production processes. Interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documents accurately to facilitate precise dimensional measurements and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Coordinate measurement machine (CMM) operations for complex dimensional analysis and ensure calibration of measuring instruments. Analyze inspection data to identify trends, root causes of non-conformities, and opportunities for process improvements. Maintain documentation related to quality inspections, audit reports, calibration records, and compliance certifications. Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into daily operations and support regulatory/legal compliance standards. Facilitate training sessions on measurement techniques, quality systems, and regulatory requirements for team members. Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements in inspection procedures and measurement methodologies. Requirements Proven experience in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing setting, with a strong understanding of quality systems such as
ISO 9001, ISO
13485, GMP, and FDA regulations. Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience managing or supervising a team of inspectors or QA personnel. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools including height gauges, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other measuring instruments. Solid knowledge of mechanical blueprint interpretation and GD&T principles. Familiarity with calibration procedures for measuring instruments and conducting quality audits aligned with industry standards. Basic math skills essential for dimensional measurements and data analysis. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards in production, and regulatory compliance requirements. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for process optimization. Effective communication skills to coordinate across departments and facilitate training sessions. Knowledge of Calypso software is advantageous but not mandatory; familiarity with ISO standards is essential.
