Job Description

Twisting Operator Expectations Safety & Housekeeping Wear all required PPE and follow all safety procedures. Complete required crane and PIT/tugger inspections before use. Inspect the work area and report or correct hazards as appropriate. Keep the work area clean and free of wire, trash, dust, and liquids. Handle spools and bobbins safely; place empty/scrap bobbins on carts. Report all injuries, accidents, and unsafe conditions to the Supervisor immediately. Production Responsibilities Review the work area and follow the posted job priorities. Communicate material needs to the Material Handler and/or Supervisor. Prepare required labels and production paperwork. Discharged completed spools and replaced fine-wire bobbins. Address wire breaks according to training and notifies the Supervisor when assistance is needed. Perform approved light-maintenance tasks when trained and authorized. Assist other operators when needed. Quality & Documentation Perform all required quality checks, including Form, Arc Height, Torsion, Color, Amplitude, Fine Wire Cast, Traverse, and Spool Checks. Complete all production and quality documentation accurately and on time. Report defective material or quality trends to the Supervisor. Prepare and submit required weld samples in a timely manner. Work Expectations Report on time and ready to work. Follow Supervisor instructions and established procedures. Perform only tasks for which you are trained and authorized. Maintain a safe, productive, and professional work environment. Ask questions when unsure of a task or procedure.
