Job Description

Product Inspector Marathon Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Product Inspector to support quality standards for our clients in the administrative and support services industry. In this role, you will visually inspect and measure products and materials, identify defects or nonconformities, and document results accurately. You'll use basic inspection tools, follow established quality and safety procedures, and communicate issues to supervisors and production teams. This position is ideal for candidates who are dependable, quality-focused, and comfortable working on their feet in a fast-paced, light industrial environment. Inspect products and materials for defects, damage, and nonconformities Measure and verify product dimensions against specifications Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records Tag, segregate, or reject nonconforming products per procedures Communicate quality issues to supervisors and production staff Follow safety, cleanliness, and workplace standards at all times Use basic inspection tools such as gauges, calipers, and scales Assist with rework, sorting, or special quality projects as needed Visual inspection Quality control procedures Use of measuring tools (calipers, gauges, rulers) Defect identification and classification Documentation and recordkeeping Reading basic specifications or work orders Basic math and measurement Safety and OSHA awareness Use of handheld scanners or basic data entry Communication with production teams Basic Quality Control or Inspection training preferred Familiarity with ISO or similar quality standards a plus Safety training (e.g., OSHA-10) preferred but not required
