Job Description
Overview Horton, Inc. has an opening for a Quality Assurance Specialist to work in our Britton, SD location. This is a 1st shift position that is onsite Monday-Friday.
Position Summary:
Using knowledge of the production process and math and statistics skills develops technical aspects of quality assurance, including standard measures and methods, training materials and gauge usage and maintenance procedures.Company Information:

Supports continuous improvement projects and quality assignments. Self-starter who is able to work both independently and together in teams while improving quality and reducing costs. Develop measurements and inputs for Production Approval inspection. Provides support to Horton's Environmental and Quality Management Systems (ISO 14001, ISO 9001 andIATF 16949
) and leads internal audits. Lead corrective actions (i.e. 8D's), use three Legged 5 Why tool to determine root cause for customer complaints, audit findings, and internal and external product failures/defects. Lead in the development and maintenance of Process Flow, Process FMEA's, and Control Plans. Technical understanding of manufacturing processes. Works with suppliers and customers to meet customer requirements. Co-ordinates the International Material Data System (IMDS) Review/Submission customer specific PPAP requirements along with review supplier PPAP's. Works closely with Design/Manufacturing Engineering in APQP Process.Qualifications Quality Assurance Specialist Qualifications:
Requires a 2-year technical degree or an equivalent of 4 or more years of closely related quality assurance work experience. Demonstrate an expertise in problem solving skills, including being able to identify, investigate and countermeasure manufacturing or supplier related technical and / or systemic issues. Possess the ability to be self-directed. Experience with manufacturing processes for components. Must be authorized to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship provided now or in the future for this position.Additional Information:
The estimated pay range for this position is $27.96 per hour plus bonus. Compensation will increase within the range based on experience and qualifications.
