Job Description

With over 70 years of experience in wire and wire cloth products, Gerard Daniel Worldwide's sales teams and applications engineers collaborate with our customers to create solutions to their manufacturing and supply chain challenges. Being involved in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, vehicles, clean energy, pharmaceutical, oil, gas, mining, and industrial applications About the Role We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to support our Adamsville, TN facility. This is an advanced, hands‑on position responsible for leading day‑to‑day quality execution on the production floor. The role requires a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining product and process integrity. This position is designed for someone who can operate independently, lead problem‑solving activities, and represent the Quality function at the plant level when Corporate Quality leadership is not on site. This role is ideal for a quality technician who is ready to take ownership and influence quality performance across the facility. What You'll Do Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections to ensure product quality at every stage Conduct first‑article inspections and verify machine setups before production runs Identify, contain, and control nonconforming material to prevent defects from moving forward Lead corrective action activities and drive root‑cause investigations Maintain accurate quality records, certifications, and inspection documentation Support internal audits and respond to customer quality requests Coach operators and supervisors on quality standards and expectations Promote defect prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement across the production floor What Makes You a Great Fit You have strong technical skills and a sharp eye for detail You're confident making independent quality decisions on the production floor You enjoy hands‑on work and take ownership of solving problems You communicate clearly and document accurately You work well with operators, supervisors, and leadership You're comfortable leading quality efforts when others aren't on site You take pride in doing things right the first time You're committed to maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement Why Join Us Be the go‑to quality leader on the production floor—your expertise truly matters here Step into a role with real ownership, influence, and visibility across the plant Join a team that values craftsmanship, accountability, and doing things right the first time Make an impact every day by helping deliver products our customers trust and rely on What You Bring A high school diploma or equivalent, with manufacturing experience strongly preferred Strong hands‑on experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and interpreting technical drawings A proven ability to identify issues, drive corrective actions, and support root‑cause problem solving Confidence working independently and making sound, timely quality decisions Clear communication skills and strong attention to documentation and record accuracy Experience as a senior or lead quality technician (preferred) Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality system requirements (preferred) Experience supporting audits or addressing customer quality concerns (preferred) The ability to influence production teams and uphold quality expectations without direct authority (preferred)
