QUALITY INSPECTOR
Tubular Steel USA — Centerville, TN | 2nd
Shift Pay:
Starting at $18/hour, plus $1/hour shift differential Job Description Tubular Steel USA has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector at our Centerville, TN plant. This role is responsible for performing routine inspections of parts using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers, while following established quality procedures. A successful Quality Inspector is reliable, detail-oriented, able to spot and report deviations, and committed to ensuring quality procedures are carried out efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities Perform routine sorting, inspection, production, and data entry tasks Read and follow work instructions, work rules, and directions Ensure assembly parts are processed at the correct quantities Ensure components cosmetically meet customer specifications Ensure calibration of inspection tools and equipment is up to date Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area Follow all employee policies and perform other duties as assigned Skills Detail-oriented with strong visual and measurement accuracy Proficient (or trainable) in using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers Self-motivated with a positive, team-first attitude Strong organizational habits and consistency in repetitive tasks Knowledge Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection standards Understanding of basic manufacturing or production processes (preferred, not required) Ability to read and interpret technical work instructions and specifications Requirements/Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in quality control, manufacturing, or a similar role preferred but not required Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Ability to lift up to [X] lbs as needed Basic computer skills for data entry Must be able to work 2nd shift hours Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan Stable, growing company in the tubular steel industry
