Smith seeks a Quality Technician to ensure our water heaters and treatment products meet strict quality and safety standards in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will perform in-process and final inspections, conduct tests using precision measuring equipment, and verify components against drawings, specifications, and
ISO 9001
requirements. Responsibilities include documenting results, supporting root cause analysis, assisting with corrective actions, and partnering closely with engineering and production. Responsibilities Perform in-process and final inspections on components and finished products Use precision measuring tools to verify parts meet drawings and specifications Document results, maintain inspection records, and prepare quality reports Identify, tag, and help disposition nonconforming material Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions with engineering Assist with SPC data collection and basic analysis to monitor processes Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality procedures Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues quickly Support calibration and care of gauges and measuring equipment Promote safety, 5 S, and continuous improvement on the shop floor Required Skills Dimensional inspection Use of calipers, micrometers, gauges Reading engineering drawings/blueprints Statistical Process Control (SPC) Root cause analysis Nonconformance reporting (NCR/CAPA)
