Quality Control Technician/2nd shift PSC Staffing - 3.9 Memphis, TN Job Details Temporary | Temp-to-hire $15 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Computer operation Heavy lifting Attention to detail Quality control Computer skills Full Job Description Overview This is a 2nd shift position 3 pm until finish located in the South Memphis area. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour. This will require some weekends and overtime. Training will be on 1st shift for the first few weeks. This is not a climate controlled environment and heavy lifting will be required. The Quality Control position is essential in ensuring that products meet the established standards of quality and safety before they reach the customer. This role involves meticulous inspection and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process. Quality Control professionals play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards, identifying defects, and implementing corrective actions to enhance product quality. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities. Identify defects or non-conformities in products and communicate findings to relevant departments for corrective action. Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives. Perform routine tests and measurements on products to verify specifications are met. Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and policies. Participate in training sessions to educate staff on quality standards and practices. Skills Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for identifying defects or inconsistencies. Effective communication skills to convey quality issues clearly to team members and management. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards) is a plus. Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment for inspections (calipers, gauges, etc.). Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
