Clean Harbors is seeking a Tank Inspector to perform field inspections of aboveground and underground storage tanks for structural integrity, corrosion, and regulatory compliance. Working within the Inspection, Certification & Quality Control department, you will conduct visual and NDT examinations, document findings, and prepare detailed inspection reports to support safe, reliable operations for clients across industrial and environmental sites. This role requires strict adherence to safety procedures, environmental regulations, and Clean Harbors' safety-first, integrity-driven culture while collaborating with cross-functional teams on remediation and repair recommendations. Responsibilities Perform internal and external inspections of storage tanks and related equipment for integrity and compliance Conduct visual, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and other NDT methods as applicable Document inspection results, prepare detailed technical reports, and maintain accurate records Identify deficiencies, corrosion, and structural concerns; recommend repairs or mitigation actions Ensure inspections comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements Work closely with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to schedule and execute inspections Follow and enforce strict safety procedures, including confined space and

protocols Operate and maintain inspection tools, NDT equipment, and related instrumentation Participate in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives Support client communication regarding inspection findings and regulatory or certification needs Required Skills Tank inspection and mechanical integrity assessment Non-destructive testing (UT, MT, PT, VT) Knowledge of API 653 and related tank codes/standards Understanding of corrosion mechanisms and damage mechanisms Technical report writing and documentation Reading engineering drawings and tank schematics Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA) Confined space entry and safety practices Use of inspection instruments (thickness gauges, pit gauges, etc.) Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
