MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receiving inspection of raw materials from vendors.
• Collection and analysis of SPC data to meet in-house and customer requirements.
• Interpretation of in-house and customer engineering drawings for dimensional inspection including formal report preparation of results.
• Use of variable gauges and attribute gauges including interpretation of Vernier and analog measuring scales.
• Conduct measuring system studies as required (including gauge repeatability and reproducibility).
• Understand and follow Control of Nonconforming product procedure.
• Support in-house and customer location sorting.
• Conduct first piece testing including weld integrity and ball surface condition.
• Conduct engineering test setup and performance as required by customer.
• Develop and document testing instructions for product testing.
• Training of production personnel on measuring instrument function and technique.
• Support production as directed by supervisor or other management
• Use of gauge control software for gauge tracking and calibration recall.
• In-house calibration of various attribute and variable gauges.
