Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Technical Services Scientist to join our team and drive excellence in manufacturing processes. This position supports activities within the Technical Services Department of Mission Pharmacal Company, including change control, validations, qualifications, and also supports manufacturing operations with investigating and writing reports for manufacturing investigations, non-conformances, and deviations. Duties Perform investigations and root cause analysis of manufacturing and packaging deviations to include non-conformances. Generate corrective and preventive action plans. This duty is performed irregularly
- about 10% of the time.
- about 30% of the time. Assist Safety Department Manager with design and implementation of safety programs and participate on the Safety Committee. Implement HACCP if/as required for food manufacture/processing. This duty is performed weekly
- about 10% of the time. Participate and provide active support and oversight to operations with process and packaging validations. Obtain or assist with obtaining samples required by the validation protocols. This duty is performed irregularly
- about 40% of the time. Participate and provide leadership as required to assigned project teams. This duty is performed irregularly

Education:
Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts Degree in a scientific field and a minimum of two or more years of related experience and/or training.Communication Skills:
Must be able to read and understand scientific and technical documents, such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence Effectively communicate information and respond to questions, orally and in writing, in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, general public and other employees.Mathematical and Thinking Skills:
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Possess the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables . Possess the ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.Physical Activities:
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; sit, stand and/or walk for periods of time; and exhibit close visual attention to work activities.
