Job Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for auditing activities associated with quality control specifications and auditing operating procedures.
Follow at all times GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes)Learn and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures and policies. Stop bad quality from leaving the facility to the Customer. Catch it on the front end of manufacturing the product. Strong attention to detail for poor quality; prevent bad quality being sent to customer.
Superior time management skills and must be self-driven and self-motivated. Excellent attendance is a must.
Must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail is must.
Ability to solve practical problems: ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
Multi-tasking; ability to work with various challenges and deal with a variety of situationsAbility to read, comprehend and interpret operating instructions, training and procedure manuals.
Excellent communication skills; able to speak effectively to employees, managers, customersExcellent listening skills; ability to provide positive and corrective feedbackWill be very involved in the complaint process for internal and external customers; entering, tracking, receiving complaint issues and resolutions to complaints or root cause analysisAbility to perform process auditsData entryManagement and control of documents (safety, training and quality)Control of non-conforming supplier defects and returnsManagement of sorting and reworksManagement of weekly KPI's and/or compliances with CAR (corrective action reports).Responsible for PAR (Preventive Acton Reports)Must be able to work overtime as necessary, sometimes on short notice.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
RequirementsComputer literacy.
High school graduate or equivalent with related college degree and/or technical courses or associate (two-year) college degree.
Minimum of one years of experience in a related field and knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, ISO, Six Sigma preferred, OSHA or Safety related field.
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
