Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a certified UT Level I or Level II Technician to perform inspections on welds in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures. Duties Set up, calibrate, and operate phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) equipment for inspection of welds Perform conventional UT (straight beam) as required in addition to PAUT.0 Interpret and evaluate indications, distinguish relevant vs. non-relevant discontinuities, and determine acceptance/rejection per applicable code or specification. Accurately document inspection results, complete detailed reports, and maintain traceable records (scan data, reference images). Perform equipment calibration checks (probe, wedge, encoder, calibration blocks) before and during inspections to ensure data integrity Communicate findings clearly to QA/QC personnel, and project engineers; support root-cause discussions on rejected welds/parts as needed. Support quality inspection process Follow all site-specific safety procedures. Support other NDT methods as required and qualified (MT, PT, RT, VT) — cross-training is a plus. Maintain current certifications and participate in ongoing training as required by company procedures. Requirements •
