Job Description

Municipal District Services, LLC Position Overview Under close supervision, performs the day-to-day duties associated with the operation of a water distribution system. Has limited working knowledge of required procedures, equipment and operating standards and is able to resolve minor routine problems. Reports to the Water Quality Manager and Coordinator and requires guidance on performing assigned task.
Essential Job Functions Water Distribution System:
  • Perform dead end routine flushing in water distribution system
  • Perform scheduled monthly routine flushing
  • Perform weekly nitrification monitoring and flushing
  • Meet and coordinate drinking water sampling with contractors
  • Assist with collection of lead and copper drinking water samples
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED with 0 to 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in maintenance or construction
  • Strong mechanical aptitude would be helpful including experience or knowledge of plumbing or similar trades experience
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record, must meet eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle Other Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to interact with customers, co-workers, and supervisors/managers in a positive and cooperative manner
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers
  • Committed to performing work safely within the Company policies and procedures
  • Must maintain good attendance
  • Willing to work all shifts including: weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call as needed
Work Environment:
Tasks involve the intermittent performance of physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).
  • Physical strength and agility sufficient to do strenuous tasks under various weather conditions

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
