Dallas, TX Job Details Temp-to-hire $20 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Basic math High school diploma or GED Sensory evaluation Decision making Laboratory techniques Full Job Description Employment Solutions is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Tech to work in a QA lab for a well-established company in the South Dallas area. The job Our client manufactures and distributes various consumer products throughout the world and has been in business for over 100 years. This role will be responsible for monitoring qualitative/quantitative testing ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. Ensure processes, work in progress, incoming goods, in-process product, finished product meets specifications Must be accurate and precise in testing procedures, having a keen sense of odors and flavors Interpret test results to release product that meets food quality specifications Process documentation for non-conforming product and communicate information to Supervisors Conduct routine quality checks in packaging areas ensuring food product meets customer specifications Communicate product deviations with operators to reduce poor quality and/or product holds Update and issue product specifications sheets such as weights, allergen matrices, temperature control storage, etc.SCHEDULE
1st shift- Days M-F 8a-5p (must be flexible with hours)PAY:
$20/hrJOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be comfortable working in a cold storage environment High school diploma or GED Flexibility to work overtime as needed on day or night shifts and possible weekends Must be accurate and precise in testing procedures, having a keen sense of odors and flavors Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals Preferred knowledge of Good Manufacturing Process (GMP's) Effective communication and team building skills Follow instructions and show focused decision-making Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds (preferred) Two or more years with previous laboratory experience and 1 year in a food manufacturing environment Qualified candidates, please apply to this job posting with your updated resume for immediate consideration.
