Overall Requirements:
Our Quality Department is looking for an experienced Quality Control Specialist to enable the Operations team to deliver quality service to our customers. This role is responsible for identifying and resolving quality issues, improving processes, and ensuring adherence to company standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final quality control inspections Monitor and validate production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, procedures, and documentation. Maintain compliance documentation to meet regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. Investigate non-conformances, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Coordinate and oversee all calibration and ESD compliance activities to ensure adherence to company and industry standards. Perform calibration and qualification testing on workbenches, tools, and test equipment to verify accuracy and functionality. Maintain and manage calibration schedules, performance verification records, and compliance documentation in accordance with QMS requirements Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and certifications of compliance, ensuring traceability and documentation integrity in accordance with ISO 9001 and internal quality procedures. Serve as a key contributor during internal and external audits, ensuring readiness of quality records, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives based on audit outcomes. Determining relevant quality associated training requirements Deliver quality training to staff and promote a culture of quality awareness Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Gathers information and works with Operations team to complete First Article Inspections (does this apply to Dallas) Align with the Engineering Department to provide quality input with respect to NPI initiatives Assist with provision of Quality metrics against defined parameters. Perform all other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
Experience & Skills:
3 + years of experience as a quality control Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience using common handheld inspection instruments Experience in
ISO 9001
environment Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong time management skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, lead, and motivate others while collaborating effectively across teams and with customers to support quality objectives and continuous improvement. Strong planning skills and ability to independently manage multiple work activities in order to meet established deadlines and priorities. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Experience with data trending, final inspections, and reporting to support continuous improvement. Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, CAPA, audits, and trend analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point). Bonus if you have the following experience Internal ISO Auditor Qualification and/or Certification Experienced with
IPC610/IPC 620
- Trainer accreditation is an asset Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen Training considered is an asset
