Full Job Description Company Overview:

Irving Tool and Mfg. Co., Inc. was founded in 1952 to supply the growing fine instrument and electronics industries with precision-made stamping, tools, dies, machined parts, and sheet metal fabricated components. This person will perform daily inspections on multiple Sheet Metal products and report findings back to the manufacturing floor. This person will also consistently utilize visual inspection, and many hand inspection tools (caliper, micrometer, gages, etc.). Three (3) years of recent of quality Inspection experience working in a Sheet Metal and Steel Manufacturing environment. Perform product inspections from first article, in-process, final inspection as required in a timely manner. Work from blueprints, drawings, process sheets, written and verbal instruction to inspect parts. Approve in-process inspection on manufacturing floor, and ensures all customer drawing requirements are met. Inspect parts during entire manufacturing process, including incoming parts returning from outsourced processes. Sign off inspections before allowing the operators to proceed with the next operation on the Traveler. Establish reliability and initiative to create a higher standard of performance through meeting set deadlines, achieving goals and objectives and pursuing efficiency. Report all problems or concerns to Quality Manager Perform other duties as assigned. Experience with

AS9100D / ISO 9001

2015 Quality Management Systems is a plus

Education/Experience Requirements:

Measuring tools: Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gage, Test Indicator and calibration. A good understanding of mathematics. Read and interpret blue prints. Familiar with quality management systems and calibration. General Inspection knowledge, methodology, metrology, plating and painting. Read, write and communicate in English. Auditing experience
