Position Title:
Quality Control Technician Shift:
12-Hr Day Shift - 6:00am-6:00pm or 6:00pm-6:00am(2-2-3 Schedule; every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday required) Position Overview The Quality Control Technician reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor The candidate has the responsibility to ensure quality conformance of finished goods and incoming raw materials and packaging according to customer and internal specification as well as supplier CoA's. Primary Responsibilities
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Follow safety protocols
  • Monitor product quality during and after the production process, and report any nonconformance to the production supervisor and, if necessary, to the production manager.
  • Conduct quality inspections for raw materials and review incoming COA's for compliance; report any deviations to the production supervisor or manager.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through development of SOP's and work instructions
  • Routine quality testing
  • Prepare and store any quality tested materials as well as catalogue material retains for records retention
  • Prepare COA's for customers finished goods
  • Monitor and track product quality metrics statistically
  • Familiarity Word, excel, PowerPoint and any statistical analysis software preferred
  • Previous lab experience required with preference to thermal analysis and mechanical testing experience
  • Will be required to perform various equipment calibrations and reference checks on sensitive analytical equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of tests, inspections and results
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab environment
  • Assist in investigating customer complaints
  • Support root cause analysis efforts related to product quality Minimum Requirements Basic educational degree or High school diploma or general education diploma Knowledge of common software programs (MS office) Ability to read and understand work orders, production process, safety regulations and quality procedures and instructions.
Availability to work 12-hour shifts 2-2-3 schedule 1 year experience in an manufacturing lab environment with finished goods inspection Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills Able to be cross trained to operate all production process equipment Physical Environment Required to stand for long periods of time Walk and climb stairs Use hands to remove or lift boxes Stretch and reach with arms extended Stoop and bend Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance Temperature, dust, smell and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions

From $25.00 per hour
