MEMCO Harlingen is Hiring a Construction Material Technician (entry-level available) in the Rio Grande Valley Area. The candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting a variety of construction materials such as soils, concrete, and pile monitoring. The ideal candidate will be ACI or NICET certified. Training will be provided as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for conducting field or laboratory testing, sampling, and/or inspection services. Contact the dispatcher/ coordinator for priorities and deadlines in both field and laboratory. Meet with contractors' supervisors, engineers/architect representatives, or other project leaders on job sites to discuss and coordinate testing, sampling, or inspection of construction materials or construction procedures. Ensure the safe, storage, and upkeep of all nuclear gauges. Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of each company vehicle, field, and laboratory equipment. Every day, communicate with onsite clients and relay any information to the supervisor as per delay or progress. Daily basis, submit accurate and complete testing/ inspection reports.

Skills & Qualifications:

Flexibility in work schedule. Able to work in different environments. Valid driver's license Analyze sample results using simple math. Must be able to pass drug screening Must be able to pass background check.

ACI, NICET
