General Description:

Perform hands-on, manual, technical, and mechanically assisted duties involved with the receipt, inspection, storage, handling, destruction, demilitarization, sorting, and recovery of materials recycled from ammunition and munition items and/or components. This position is also tasked with testing, inspection, and maintenance of systems and equipment associated with supporting these tasks. Will also perform warehousing duties involving stock movement into or out of storage locations, physical inventory, disassembly, warehouse arrangement, accessibility, clean, repair, rework, inspect, test, load, package, move, or mark any material items or components, as well as safely operating various company vehicles. Will also be responsible for other activities as deemed necessary by management. This role may have opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Carry-out activities associated with ESD demilitarization operations and overall company operations as directed by management and company leadership.
• Collaborate and communicate with ESD departments and personnel.
• Participate in the safe movement and handling of ammunition items and various materials.
• Assist in upholding ESD munitions handling standards in accordance with quality assurance and quality control requirements
• Perform hands-on, manual, technical, and mechanically assisted duties involved with the receipt, inspection, storage, handling, destruction, demilitarization, sorting, and recovery of materials recycled from ammunition and munition items and/or components
• Perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of systems and equipment associated with supporting demilitarization and/or other company tasks.
• Perform warehousing duties involving stock movement into or out of storage locations, physical inventory, disassembly, warehouse arrangement, accessibility, clean, repair, rework, inspect, test, load, package, move, or mark any material items or components, as well as safely operating various company vehicles
• Must be able to perform work duties, routinely, in a safe and effective manner, remaining alert and aware of potential work/safety hazards at all times, and especially alert while performing safety sensitive duties
• Support continuous process improvement and innovation within the company.
• Other roles and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the company.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Driver's License in good standing with reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Certified fork lift operator preferred
• Must be able to must pass background check
• Must be able to perform work duties, routinely, in a safe and effective manner, remaining alert and aware of potential work/safety hazards at all times, and especially alert while performing safety sensitive duties
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required training in accordance with Company requirements
• No direct prior experience required; but similar experience preferred
• Initial 90-day probationary period
• Position may be eligible for overtime
• Must be willing and able to work in an open air environment in various climates.
