Job Description

About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and objective QA Specialist & Auditor to join our growing manufacturing team. You will ensure product quality, GMP compliance, and adherence to Texas DSHS and FDA regulations across our production facilities and partner warehouses. This role functions as an independent internal auditor, testing finished products, verifying food safety controls, and making sure our records and traceability are accurate and audit-ready. Key Responsibilities Conduct finished product testing for gel, including pH, Water Activity (AW), and other required quality and safety tests. Operate, maintain, and verify calibration of QA instruments; document all readings accurately. Verify daily GMP compliance across production, warehousing, and support areas at our Houston and Humble facilities. Audit compliance with Texas DSHS and FDA requirements. Perform scheduled and unannounced audits of hygiene, sanitation, housekeeping, and facility readiness. Verify that records, logs, and forms are complete, accurate, on time, and retained per document control practices. Audit traceability of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods. Verify material movement and transactions in the 1C system; reconcile discrepancies and document corrective actions. Act as an independent observer during inventory counts to validate process integrity. Prepare clear audit reports with findings, risk levels, and CAPA follow-up; escalate issues to the VP of Operations. Identify and qualify third-party labs, submit samples, and request required tests (pH, AW, microbiological, nutritional). Track lab turnaround, follow up on Certificates of Analysis (COA), and review lab invoices with Finance/Accounting. Monitor and verify all Critical Control Points (CCPs) in the HACCP plan; immediately report any deviation or non-conformance. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree or higher preferred). 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing QA/QC, auditing, compliance, or related operations. HACCP and PCQI certifications, or the ability to obtain them within 90 days of hire (training and certification costs covered by Diva Fam). Working knowledge of QA instruments (pH meters, AW meters, thermometers, scales) and calibration/verification practices. What We Offer Stable full-time W2 position. Competitive hourly rate.
