Our client is a leading manufacturer of composite utility poles and infrastructure solutions serving the utility and energy markets. They are looking for a Manufacturing Quality Shift Lead to oversee quality assurance, lead the QA team, and keep production on spec during night shift at their manufacturing facility in Humble, TX. Benefits Competitive pay plus performance incentives Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with 5% company match 3 weeks of paid vacation Paid holidays Employer-paid life and disability insurance Employee assistance program Career growth with a growing global company Responsibilities Lead, train, and mentor QA inspectors and quality lab technicians on the night shift Assist the Quality Manager with scheduling quality personnel Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process Perform in-process, final product, and shipping inspections and audits Perform incoming inspection and testing of raw materials Test finished resin batches against company specifications Work with Production to resolve quality issues quickly Escalate critical quality concerns and discrepancies to the Quality Manager Maintain electronic and hard-copy records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports Prepare and submit quality reports Assist with developing and revising work instructions and SOPs Participate in internal and external audits and support corrective actions Serve as backup for QA inspector, lab technician, and resin blender roles Identify process improvement opportunities with cross-functional teams Perform other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred 3+ years in a quality role in a manufacturing environment preferred Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of quality standards and inspection practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends as needed Ability to stand, walk, and lift in an industrial environment with chemicals and moving equipment #INDOMNI
