Overview Join our dynamic team as a Welding Quality Control Specialist in Humble,, where your expertise will ensure the highest standards of welding quality and compliance within our manufacturing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to precision-driven production environments, uphold rigorous quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will be instrumental in verifying weld integrity, ensuring regulatory adherence, and maintaining top-tier quality assurance practices across all operations. Duties Conduct detailed inspections of welded components using advanced measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems to verify dimensional accuracy and weld quality. Interpret mechanical blueprints, production documents, and technical drawings to ensure welding processes meet specified tolerances and quality standards. Perform regular quality audits in accordance with
ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP
(Good Manufacturing Practice), and FDA regulations to identify deviations and implement corrective actions. Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to assess complex mechanical features and ensure compliance with engineering specifications. Maintain meticulous records of inspection results, data collection logs, and non-conformance reports to support traceability and continuous improvement efforts. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues promptly, providing technical guidance on mechanical knowledge, regulatory standards, and quality systems. Support calibration and maintenance of precision measurement instruments to uphold measurement accuracy and reliability. Experience Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving welding or metal fabrication processes. Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485), GMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations related to manufacturing quality systems. Hands-on experience with calibration and use of measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other precision measurement tools. Familiarity with quality audits, data analysis skills, and the application of regulatory/legal compliance standards in production settings. Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with basic math proficiency for dimensional measurements and analysis tasks. Ability to interpret production documents accurately while understanding manufacturing workflows and quality management principles.
