Job Description

At STEMCO, quality is at the heart of everything we do. As Quality Technician II, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. You'll work closely with production teams, engineers, suppliers, and customers to solve problems, improve processes, and drive quality excellence throughout our manufacturing operations. What You'll Do:
  • Support quality initiatives across the manufacturing facility to ensure products meet customer and company requirements.
  • Perform inspections, measurements, audits, and testing activities to support daily production operations.
  • Analyze quality data and participate in problem-solving efforts to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation for new product launches and process changes.
  • Evaluate molds, dies, tooling, and components through capability studies and measurement analysis.
  • Inspect incoming materials, components, and tooling to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and supplier approval processes.
  • Assist engineering and operations teams with special projects, measurements, and process improvements.
  • Maintain inspection procedures, calibration systems, measurement methods, and work instructions.
  • Conduct internal and process audits to support compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Promote a culture of quality across all levels of the organization.

What You'll Bring:
  • Associate degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Technology, or a related field with 2-4 years of quality experience, OR
  • High school diploma or technical school certificate with 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience using statistical methods and quality tools to analyze and improve processes.
  • Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA) methodologies.
  • Experience conducting quality audits within a Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with quality software such as Minitab, GageTrak, or similar tools.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment, including: o Calipers o Micrometers o Height gauges o Optical comparators o Profilometers o Surface measurement equipment o Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for measurements and inspections.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, and balancing.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
