Our client assembles and tests control and safety relief valves for commercial and nuclear applications. They are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector II. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections, verify documentation and material certifications, and work with production and quality teams to resolve non-conformances and meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect commercial and nuclear parts and products to confirm they meet measurement and testing requirements
Perform final inspection of assembled and tested control and safety relief valves, including:
visual inspection of the equipment
review of document packs against Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
confirming tag plate markings meet customer requirements
Inspect, gather, and review product documentation, including final document packets, material heat reports, and Certified Material Test Reports (CMTRs)
Work closely with the documentation team to provide inspection reports and CMTRs that meet customer requirements
Document inspection and testing results and keep accurate records
Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection areas as needed to meet customer requirements
Verify warehouse picking accuracy by confirming part numbers and quantities
Inspect packaging methods against customer and internal requirements
Work with the Material Review Board (MRB) on non-conforming products, and help identify corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
Report internal and external defects daily and help identify root causes
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues
Help train operations team members to improve customer satisfaction
Support lean activities and initiatives as required
Follow safety protocols during all inspection activities
Required Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in the United States
3+ years of experience in quality inspection
Diploma in mechanical or a related technical field; or a GED with 3-5 years of experience
Experience with control valves, safety valves, and safety relief valves
SAP ERP Quality Control experience
Experience reading part CAD drawings
GD&T experience
Results-driven, with strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
NDE Level II certification in Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
