Quality Assurance Level I Third Coast - 4.7 Pearland, TX Job Details Full-time From $21.88 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Safety data sheet (SDS) reading Microsoft Outlook Word embeddings Full Job Description Position Summary The Quality Assurance Level I role is responsible for ensuring quality standards are being met throughout the operations departments. This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide inspections for operations and ensure enforcement of company quality standards. Execution of accurate work pertaining to Quality Program. Provide quality inspections within operations ensuring products, packages, labels, and paperwork adhere to quality standard. Know, comply, and enforce safe work procedures and operational discipline practices. Collaborating with internal departments to identify nonconforming packages, labeling discrepancies, paperwork and/or batch discrepancies. Thoroughly inspecting packages, paperwork for any damages or discrepancies. Responsible for preparing and providing Quality inspection reports in a timely fashion. Complete paperwork and other minor administrative tasks on forms, logs, and matrices with attention to ensuring all information is entered correctly and clearly. Perform additional duties as assigned Exhibits and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors
Knowledge and Skills:
High School Graduate or GED Knowledge of and experience working with hazardous materials.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in Quality Auditor role or comparable industry experience. Experience in petrochemical or related industries (preferred) Proficiency in WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK (required) Experience with internal audits for quality assurance (preferred) Regulatory Background in
DOT, IMDG, IATA, OSHA
(preferred)
Skills and Competencies:
Must be able to multitask, stay organized, detailed, and focused and show a high level of initiative. Ability to identify and then implement process and productivity improvements. Ability to complete paperwork accurately and completely, understand the importance of detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively to team members and management. Computer/ERP system experience. Must have a desire to learn, grow and take on additional responsibilities. Must be able to learn quickly, retain knowledge and follow instructions. Must be able to read and interpret a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Physical Requirements 10% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, walking and viewing. 90% outdoors in variable climates and temperatures. Includes walking, standing and climbing.
