Full Time Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves inspecting, testing, and measuring materials and products, identifying defects or deviations, and working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods using appropriate tools and techniques. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings. Identify and report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Collaborate with production staff to improve quality processes and reduce defects. Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment and tools. Participate in internal audits and support external audits as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. Proven experience in quality inspection or manufacturing quality control of sheet metal and machined mechanical parts and/or assemblies. Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs. Understanding ofISO9001/AS9100
standards, GD&T, and quality management systems. Experience withISO13485
a plus. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficient in using Microsoft Office and quality documentation software. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed inspections.Preferred Skills:
Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Experience working with ERP systems as well as Microsoft Excel and other Office software applications.Job Type:
