Hamilton Form Company builds custom steel forms for the precast, prestressed concrete industry. The Quality Inspector supports the manufacturing plant by inspecting products to ensure the required specifications and standards are met. Attention to detail with a keen eye for quality is a must. Candidate must be flexible enough to work with various departments where normal conditions require the ability to multitask. The position reports to the Quality Manager. Duties include but not limited to Review job prints and specifications of the jobs Inspect and monitor material and processes for compliance with quality plans Assist with creating quality plans Assist with repair or rework Communicate with appropriate departments and employees Move materials using proper tools and equipment Ensure department and assigned areas are free from possible hazards Administrative duties including but not limited to: quality plans, safety incident investigations, emails, data entry, collecting production data Follow instructions from supervisors/management and SOPs Education and Work Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Quality control experience preferred Welder/Fitter experience preferred Experience in manufacturing industry or similar preferred Minimum Qualifications Requirements Ability to work assigned shift and mandatory overtime which can include weekends Ability to think logically Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions Ability to read blue prints and cut lists Strong attention to detail Organization skills Basic mathematics skills Effective communication skills Basic drafting skills Listening and interpersonal skills; team player Knowledge of technology and software such as tablets, computer/laptop, cloud based tools, and Microsoft Office Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing and screening required for position Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time Must have satisfactory driving record and valid driver's license for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties
