JOB SUMMARY
To oversee the production process and Product quality, ensuring compliance to internal and customer specifications through visual inspections, testing, and verifying adherence of all process procedures. The Quality Technician will perform a visual line inspection on a 1-2-hour routine frequency, to include the WIP Pallet, will perform required full Product testing per prescribed system frequency, perform a final pallet inspection when the pallet is completed, and make the necessary inventory transactions. Any non-conformance must be reported through the CAR process and investigation is taken to include complete containment report. The Quality Technician is also responsible for assisting with breaks, Product packaging, final FG packaging, operator training, and supporting Production Flow / Job Set Up.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Technician is responsible for all Product conformances. Products should meet all visual and testing requirements. Routine Line Product visual inspection including WIP pallet, on a 1-2-hour frequency. Routine Line Audit of Operator process against Work Instruction Standards. o Verify proper support equipment is being utilized according to the work instructions- ex. Correct mandrels, drill bit sizes, proper gages, fixtures, etc. o Ensure operator is following proper secondary operations according to the established process in the Work Instruction Full Product testing according to prescribed system frequency, including entering data and flagging non-conformances, retesting 3 samples for test validation. Final Product pallet inspection against all Visual, Work Instructions and Testing requirements. Perform final Product Packaging for conforming product, including inventory receipts, labelling and movement to WIP. Any non-conforming product found during Routine Line Product Inspection, Product testing, or final Inspection must be reported on a CAR, including; Inventory receipts into

location Sort, Rework and discard defective product and place the acceptable product back to the line to fill ensuring to count scrap and record effectively on shift scrap reports Full containment process and report, including WIP, Product Inventory, Potential Transit Inventory Report all non-conformances and deviations to Shift Supervisor and Production Manager via email and CAR entry. If a Deviation has occurred, follow Deviation SOP into Escalation SOP Ø In the absence of Technical Quality Auditor, Follow Start Up Policy and qualify production articles with conforming visual and dimensional aspects per specifications. Ø Provide production line with necessary pallet type per the specifications of the B.O.M. Work Order Ø Track production and work order progress using Work Order Production History report and Production Control Board. Monitor and communicate with Shift Supervisor of remaining production. Close completed work orders, verify completion, sign the completed qty and turn into Production Coordinator Ø Verify Work Order Completion by auditing inventory transactions and performing physical cycle count to include WIP And non-conforming (hold) Product. Ø Report scrap into Mattec at the end of every working shift by piece and defect, if scrap is above allowable tolerance, escalate to Production Manager and enter scrap into Empower Ø Label all product containers both boxes and pallets, verifying correct part to the item number and description Ø Wrap all completed finished good pallets as required, ensuring the pallet is erect and wrapped properly Ø Take "partial" pallets to machines to be completed (partial pallets moved from the Quality MRB or Warehouse area to production floor to be filled) Ø Perform Last Shot Retain procedure at start up after a tooling change Ø Periodical production inspections: Ensuring conforming parts through visual examination, testing and gage testing (Defined by part specific Control Plan) Ø Update production work order transition (job changes) in Mattec Ø Properly performs HOLD process upon detection of questionable or non-conforming product, providing communication via email to Production Manager, alerting quality technicians, shift supervisor, and operators. And if applicable, proper disposition of the product Ø Communicates expected quality standards to operator Ø Communicate to production floor staff of any upcoming work order changes that may include color changes or pack-out changes Ø
Product Testing:
Basic data entry of part data such as weights, color readings, measurements, etc. into MES software Ø Verifies and closes completed work orders ensuring accuracy of the inventory transactions per that work order both manually and electronically Ø Provides a shift report at the end of his/her shift via email to Production Manager and Manufacturing Engineer, reporting any and all key events Ø Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Prior Experience as an Operator on the Production Floor Understanding of and ability to apply Basic Math Principles Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel
WORKING CONDIITONS
Regular exposure to dust, fumes, odors and warm working temperatures Must be able to walk behind machines, i.e. in narrow places
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manual dexterity Ability to read written English. Ability to express oneself verbally in English with clarity on a face-to-face basis. Ability to hear in one or both ears so that verbal communication can be received, understood, and acted upon either face to face or over an overhead paging system. Ability of olfactory nerves to distinguish between and among odors and scents as to origin and level of intensity, and to tolerate potentially obnoxious smells. Ability to control and utilize fingers in a dexterous and coordinated manner for such activities as writing, typing, keyboarding, etc. Ability to stretch body and extend arms to place or secure objects at a distance above, to the side of, or below the normal standing level. Ability to exert a reasonable paced mobility from one point to another within a generally accepted time frame, and recognize the conditions of the environment as narrowness, clutter, slickness, etc. Ability to move and control one's torso so items can be picked up from the floor or from a lower surface level. Ability to flex legs at the knees and move the upper body forward and down. Ability to flex legs at the knees to lower body position. Ability to flex legs at the knee so that individual can lower the body coming to rest on one or both knees. Ability to use body parts, usually arms and hands (occasionally shoulders and back) to elevate an object weighing more than 50 lbs. above its previous surface level. Ability to ascend steps, ladders, and other vertical and semi-vertical surfaces to reach a higher level.
