Overview Position Summary The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control activities on construction projects to ensure work is performed in accordance with company standards, contract requirements, and applicable codes. This role assists in verifying that systems are installed, inspected, and documented correctly, contributing to overall project quality and successful delivery. Position Details This position plays an active role in maintaining quality standards in the field and helps ensure systems are prepared for commissioning and turnover. The role contributes to consistent execution of QA/QC processes by following established procedures, supporting documentation requirements, and assisting in the identification and resolution of quality issues throughout the construction lifecycle. Identify, document, and track quality deficiencies and coordinate resolution with project teams. Interpret construction drawings and specifications, including architectural, structural, and MEP systems. Review trade partner installations for compliance with approved submittals and installation requirements. Coordinate Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure quality requirements are understood. Participate in project coordination meetings related to inspections, testing, and quality performance. Perform and coordinate field inspections to verify installation quality. Support Support implementation of project QA/QC plans and inspection procedures. Support preparation and verification of inspection documentation required for system turnover. Quality Assurance Reinforce company quality standards and promote accountability within project teams. Verify system readiness for testing, startup, and commissioning activities. Communicate quality issues and inspection results to project teams and QA/QC leadership. Assist Assist project teams in resolving installation and quality issues identified during inspections. Documentation Maintain and manage inspection records, reports, checklists, and supporting documentation. Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Construction Science preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience 2 - 5 years of experience in construction, QA/QC, or related field. 0 -2 years experience within the Mission Critical projects (Cx, QA/QC, Superintedent, MEP Coordinator). Knowledge Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and approved submittals used for installation verification. Familiarity with architectural, structural, and MEP building systems and their installation requirements. Working knowledge of construction management and project collaboration software used for quality documentation. Understanding of construction installation methods and sequencing across major building systems. Skills Support QA/QC leadership in ensuring inspection procedures and documentation requirements are followed. Assist in coordinating inspection schedules and quality verification activities with field teams. Ability to use QA/QC documentation systems, inspection reporting tools, and deficiency tracking platforms. Provide guidance to QA/QC Technicians during inspection and documentation activities. Proficiency Proficiency with common documentation and reporting software used in construction projects. Ability to review shop drawings and submittals to verify compliance with project requirements. Ability to interpret inspection results and quality documentation.
