Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Metrology Technician Lead to join a leading aerospace manufacturing organization located in Western TX through 100% onsite work. The Metrology Technician Lead will oversee precision measurement operations, perform dimensional inspections, and support satellite hardware production using advanced metrology equipment and software.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate daily metrology operations, including task assignment, scheduling, and workload balancing Perform high-precision dimensional inspection and alignment using Laser Trackers, CMM systems, Romer Arms, and 3D scanning tools Utilize Spatial Analyzer (SA) and other metrology software to collect, analyze, and verify measurement data Validate parts and assemblies against engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications Generate detailed inspection reports and support root cause analysis for non-conformances Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve dimensional issues and maintain timelines
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in metrology, calibration, or precision measurement (with 2-3+ years of Laser Tracker and Spatial Analyzer experience required) Strong proficiency with metrology tools and software including Laser Trackers, Spatial Analyzer (SA), and CMM systems Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and large-scale assembly alignment Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models High school diploma required; technical or associate degree preferred
Compensation:
Salary Range:
negotiable depending on experience (estimate based on market and YOE)
