Full-time:
Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm @ $15/hr
Full-time:
Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 11pm @ $16/hr. Occasional overtime involved
Essential Job Functions:
Follow written and verbal work instructions Perform quality inspections on all product as it flows through either Receiving, Production, or the Lab, and identify and report any problems, or potential problems encountered. Identify, inspect, and qualify product to established standards Approve and reject (identify nonconforming product) per established standards and criteria, and communicate discrepancies with the appropriate Smith personnel. Work with supervisors and managers to identify and prevent process flaws that lead to reduced product quality or unfavorable working conditions Complete required paperwork per job requirements Report any Continuous Improvement opportunities Assist in various quality roles As applicable: Move product, utilizing hand truck, pallet jack and or Forklift Stop production if a substantial violation to product integrity is encountered and notify the proper authority Investigate the root cause of faulty work, excessive scrap, or processing delays and report to the proper authority Provide final approval of all product leaving the production floor and entering the finished goods warehouse for order allocation Understand quality trends in product Operate lab testing equipment
•Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs): Strong knowledge or ability to learn ANSI standards Excellent visual skills to identify any nonconforming product, product inconsistencies, or anything out of the ordinary Excellent verbal and written communication, and a good ability to reason with others Computer experience and skills Good analytical skills and math skills Possesses knowledge of product line Good problem solving ability Good people skills
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand and walk for a majority of shift. Requires good vision for inspection of parts. Able to lift 25 to 50lbs. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to moving machinery, hot and cold temperatures and loud noises.
•Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
