Our employees are not only part of history, theyre making history. Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Tool and Gauge Inspector - Level 1 to join our team in Promontory, UT. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Successful candidate will work independently to perform a wide range of quality inspection tasks. Perform Quality Process Assessments Perform visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on tightly tolerance piece parts, subassemblies and final assemblies in the Receiving Quality Control area. Perform tool inspections on various programs Performs required inspections in accordance with procedures and planning documentation. Performs required inspections using standard measurement instruments. Other duties as assigned This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Basic Qualifications for Level 1: High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, climb up ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Interpret drawings and specifications. Excellent working knowledge and understanding of GD&T and
ANSI Y14.5.
Perform certification review on supplier documentation and issue Authorization to Ship (ATS). Familiar with standard Mechanical Inspection techniques and tools. Experience with
ISO 9000/AS9100
Quality Management Systems. Experience with Continuous Improvement/PES techniques. Good computer skills - MS Office, Costpoint, QMIS, ePic, Nautilus. Operate a CMM Using the PCDMIS Software. Familiarity with portable inspection equipment including laser trackers. Self-Starter and ability to work through an issue to closure Operate a forklift and crane. Northrop Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range:
$44,400.00 - $74,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
