Job Description

Epic Engineering is a multi-discipline engineering firm and is currently hiring a Seasonal Material Technician/Field Technician with backgrounds in concrete, soils, aggregate, and pavement testing to be based out of our Heber office. You will receive real-world experience to grow and develop your career while working in a fun and professional environment.
Your responsibilities may include:
  • Perform material and field-testing services in concrete, soils, aggregate, and pavement testing
  • Produce testing reports
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Strong communication skills to work with team members and clients to coordinate and oversee material testing work This position requires advanced math skills, strong communication skills, the ability to understand problems, and the computer skills to document results and daily reports.
Must be able to carry 95 lbs. This is a seasonal, hourly position with weekly hours varying based on project workload and construction schedules. Work schedules may include early mornings and variable start and finish times. During busy periods, opportunities for additional hours and overtime may be available, and occasionally extended workdays or workweeks exceeding 40 hours may be needed to support project schedules.
Requirements:
High School Diploma and valid driver's license.
Preferred Experience but not required:
Field and laboratory experience in concrete, soils, aggregate, and pavement testing.
Preferred certifications but not required:
ACI Level I, Nuclear Gauge, and WAQTC certifications
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
