Quality Control (QC) Technician
JOB OVERVIEW
The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and applicable quality requirements. This position works closely with Production, Maintenance, and Management to identify quality issues, document findings, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe work environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or an associate's degree in manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous quality control or manufacturing experience preferred, preferably in wire, steel, or metal fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using measuring tools and gauges.
  • Verify wire diameter, mesh dimensions, weld integrity, spacing, and overall product quality as applicable.
  • Conduct visual inspections for defects, damage, and nonconforming materials.
  • Complete inspection reports, quality documentation, and maintain accurate production records.
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming products to Production and Management.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections as required.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Work closely with Production personnel to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies, customer requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Ability to accurately read measuring instruments and interpret inspection results.
  • Dependability with consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Up to $24.25 per hour
