Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and currently certified Virginia State Safety & Emissions Inspector to join our growing automotive team in Chantilly, VA. We operate a busy automotive dealership and service facility serving customers throughout Northern Virginia. We are looking for a dependable, professional, and detail-oriented inspector who takes pride in performing inspections accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Commonwealth of Virginia requirements. The ideal candidate will hold current Virginia State Safety Inspection and Emissions Inspection certifications and be comfortable working in an active dealership and automotive service environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Perform Virginia State Safety Inspections in accordance with all applicable Virginia State Police regulations and inspection procedures. Perform Virginia Emissions Inspections in accordance with applicable Virginia emissions testing requirements. Properly document inspection results and accurately determine whether vehicles pass or fail based on state requirements. Identify safety-related concerns discovered during inspections. Clearly communicate inspection findings and recommended repairs to the service team. Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance when necessary and within your experience level. Maintain accurate inspection records and required documentation. Keep the inspection station, equipment, tools, and work area clean and organized. Follow all dealership, safety, environmental, and state inspection procedures. Work cooperatively with technicians, service advisors, management, and other team members. Deliver professional and respectful service to our customers.

From $70,000.00 per year
