Job Details:
SUMMARY:
The Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Clerk performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in support of the FSQA team. Key responsibilities include entering and maintaining daily audit data for reporting and review, distributing incoming mail, and managing documentation related to food safety programs. This role supports tracking and documentation for foreign object incidents, HACCP and SSOP monitoring deficiencies, and quality claims. Additional duties include maintaining audit packets, organizing and processing daily paperwork from multiple shifts, documenting meeting summaries, and ensuring compliance with records retention and destruction policies in accordance with company standards. The FSQA Clerk is also responsible for entering and maintaining data in systems such as the Quality Action Report database and Plant View to support tracking and trending of key metrics. This position plays a key role in reviewing Plant View entries for accuracy and completeness, including checks, data verification, calibration logs, observation records, and pre-shipment documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework in office administration or clerical skills is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of administrative or clerical experience required.
Computer Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Special Skills:
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
