Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Our client is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Inspector for a custom manufacturing company specializing in architectural millwork, commercial interiors, and retail fixtures. This position is responsible for visually inspecting products, verifying measurements, and ensuring materials meet quality requirements throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate has experience inspecting manufactured or assembled products, reading prints, identifying tolerances, and using measuring tools. Experience with cabinetry, millwork, furniture, fixtures, wood products, doors, windows, or other custom manufacturing is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections throughout receiving, production, cutting, assembly, packaging, storage, and shipping Read prints, shop drawings, checklists, and other production documents Identify acceptable dimensions and tolerances according to product specifications Use appropriate measuring tools to verify product dimensions and workmanship Record measurements, inspection results, and other required quality information accurately Identify defective or nonconforming materials and products Stop production or related operations when a quality issue is discovered Notify the appropriate production personnel and management of nonconformances Assist with quality investigations and the implementation of corrective actions Prepare inspection reports and related correspondence as required Help ensure completed products meet internal standards and customer requirements Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required At least 1-2 years of quality inspection, quality assurance, or manufacturing experience preferred Experience in millwork, cabinetry, furniture, fixtures, wood products, or custom manufacturing is a plus Ability to read prints, shop drawings, measurements, and tolerances Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, gauges, or similar equipment Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize workmanship or dimensional issues Ability to document inspection results clearly and accurately Comfortable communicating quality concerns to production employees and management Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Dependable and able to work with limited supervision after training
