None Position Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying conformance to engineering and quality standards through the inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process products, and final units. Working closely with Testing, Design, and Manufacturing teams, this role ensures all aspects of the production process meet defined specifications. The inspector is also responsible for documenting results, identifying trends, and supporting the continuous improvement of quality processes. Essential Functions Perform daily, weekly, and monthly quality inspections at designated process checkpoints. Conduct incoming inspections on selected commodity materials each month. Collect and report data on winding processes, engineering deviations, and shop-floor defects. Chart and analyze inspection and defect trends to support quality improvement efforts. Verify transformers meet engineering design specifications prior to shipment. Audit shop processes and document results as directed by quality leadership. Collaborate with the Test Department to ensure schedule and customer requirements are met. Support Design and Development teams in collecting real-time shop data. Conduct low voltage and functional testing to verify proper equipment performance. Review wiring for compliance with diagrams and perform visual inspections for completeness. Draw and test oil samples from transformers and storage tanks for dielectric strength and moisture content; send out samples for additional testing when needed. Operate test equipment to confirm unit parameters meet internal and customer requirements. Position Qualifications Competency Statement(s):

Preferred:
Knowledge of statistical quality control (SQC) tools and techniques Experience in transformer manufacturing or electrical equipment inspection Skills & Abilities Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and test procedures Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard inspection/test documentation tools Experience operating electrical test equipment and measurement tools Familiarity with dielectric testing and moisture content analysis #IND2
